“Get where you want to go. Become who you are meant to be.”
I work with people from all walks of life – directors to vicars; overseas aid workers to youth; business owners to full-time mums. Previous clients have spanned four different continents.
On a private basis, I tend to work with people who feel stuck and are ready to make life changes, but don’t know where or how to start. For example, you may want a new career, better work-life balance, improved confidence, health or energy levels; and need a coach to enable you to figure out what action to take.
With organisations, I coach staff on areas such personal development, work-life balance and returning from or moving abroad. As well as staff coaching, I run work-life balance workshops and strengths based development workshop for managers and teams, based on Gallup’s Clifton Strengthsfinder.
Some of my clients live and work overseas, or elsewhere in the UK, and I coach via Skype. If you are local (Bicester or Banbury, UK) we can meet face to face.
Approach to Coaching
Until you know who you are, you won’t know which choices to make and which direction to go in.
I ask all of my clients to do Gallup’s Clifton Strengthsfinder test. Gallup have found that people who use their strengths everyday are six times more likely to be engaged in the workplace and report having a three times better quality of life. I also work with clients to find out their values. Having this knowledge and personal awareness enables clients to move forward in the right direction for them.
A few words from the Coach
I trained to become a coach after living overseas and seeing the amount of disillusionment and burnout there was within the expat community. Stress from work was being taken home and stress from home was being taken into work. As a result, work performance was suffering, and family relationships were breaking down. Wanting to avert this, I use training and coaching as a preventative and maximising tool. I get a thrill out of seeing people have an ‘epiphany’ moment.
I am strategic† and enable clients to see a way forward (futuristic†). My relator† strength means people feel at ease when working with me. As an activator†, I ensure my clients get results through fulfilling their own goals. Finally, my maximising† talents mean that I excels at taking people or projects to great.
Before becoming an accredited coach, I worked as a BBC radio producer and reporter. Prior to that, I worked for FEBA Radio and was a PR professional with the international aid and development agency, World Vision. I have lived in the Seychelles, Sri Lanka and New York, and currently live in Oxfordshire in the UK.
Type of Coaching
Prior to working with Jenny I knew I couldn’t carry on my career the way it was, but the problem was that I didn’t know how to change it. Jenny got me thinking about my priorities in life and made me think outside the box when exploring job options. When I found the job of my dreams she was brilliant in helping me prepare for my interview. I now have a job that I am excited about and it suits both me and my family.
Frances Bristow, Oxfordshire
I was finding my work/home life balance hard. I told Jenny my priorities and she enabled me to move forward. Together we identified my skills and found a new direction for me. I have had a career change and am now training to be a psychotherapist. I feel much happier and my home life and future look good.
Paula Alverez, Oxfordshire
Jenny is professional and easy to work with. She has knack of listening to all the information you give her and then pinpointing exactly what is needed to move forward.
Dan Biddle, Oxfordshire
Jenny being a natural encourager, during her coaching lifted me up and made me think about where I could make changes. She challenged me to set goals and see that they were met. Surprisingly this was fun! It was great to question a few things and recommit myself towards my role as office manager and assistant for tech department.
Christine Hempt, TWR
Life coaching has enabled me to become more disciplined so I can achieve what I want in life. Jenny coaches me in an amazing way. When we discuss something I want to achieve, she asks ME how I think I could move forward and that is good because no one knows me better than mysels. I know that what I will do will actually help me.
Katherine Le Page, Oxfordshire
I was at a major crossroads in my life: finishing work abroad, planning my return to the UK and changing my career. My time with Jenny, via Skype, was an important turning point that enabled me to evaluate my strengths, values and history. What I learnt from Jenny helped me with some difficult life changing decisions and has equipped me to plan for the future.”
Peter Knott, Egypt
Type of coaching = New Direction
“With Jenny’s help, I have managed what seemed impossible. Not only have I found a new job but also a complete career change! Jenny helped me establish exactly why I was unhappy in my previous job, what kind of work would suit me best and gave me all the confidence I needed to do my best at an interview when I felt very low emotionally. She was utmost professional, understanding, flexible, efficient and prepared at all times. I highly recommend Jenny’s coaching to anybody who wants to achieve success.”
Oksana Dashwood, UK
